Our Nursery and Kindergarten Classes are perfect for children between the ages of 2 and 4 who are taking their first steps away from home. We are a co-educational nursery school and welcome both boys and girls to our beautiful setting. We have two classes;
- Nursery for children aged 2-3 and
- Kindergarten for children aged 3-4.
We try to maintain an even split of boys and girls in the nursery school and will offer no more than 50% of nursery places to boys. We consider our Nursery as the beginning of a Manor House education for girls and expect that your daughter will progress through to our Reception Class and Preparatory School.
To arrange a visit and see the nursery in action, please telephone Jane Baynes on 01372 457077 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We provide flexibility of day care and offer three session options to fit with you and your child along with discounts for those wishing to attend 4 or more sessions per week. Sessions begin from 8am and finish at 12.30pm (morning), 3:30-4pm on a standard day, or 6pm if you prefer an extended day (for aged 3 years upwards).
When Can Your Child Join?
Children can join our Nursery Class (aged 2-3) at the beginning of the Autumn term in September, Spring term in January or Easter term in April.
Children can join our Kindergarten Class (aged 3-4) at any point in the academic year.
We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and welcoming start to school life, and we strive to create an environment specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual child. We offer an excellent curriculum providing first class teaching along with specialist lessons in Dance, French, Music and PE.
Parents often remark on the warm and friendly atmosphere in our Pre-School, where each child’s developmental and emotional needs are met and progress is continually charted. This is the perfect environment for emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growth.
Weekly activities include literacy and numeracy sessions, expressive arts, PE, French, music and movement, library visits, design woodwork, cooking, and even gardening and bush craft. Our activities are specifically planned to keep children active and engaged so that they move into preschool as motivated, confident learners. These sessions have been created to take a highly structured and responsive approach to each child’s needs, using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework with elements of Montessori practice.
Our Nursery School is a place where children will be inspired to discover, learn and make friends.
