Our Preparatory School (Prep School) is made up of our Reception Class and Years 1 to 6. We are a selective school which means that Prep School places are offered at the discretion of the Headteacher and following successful completion of our School admissions process for your point of entry. As a guideline, Prep School applicants should be performing academically at nationally expected levels. We welcome mid-year applications for all year groups, subject to the availability of places.

RECEPTION CLASS

For September 2025 entry, we will be holding a Reception Experience Day on Tuesday 26 November 2024 preceding September entry for interested families. Whether your child attends the Experience Day or you enquire at a later point, we will arrange for an appointment and tour with our Head of Early Years. We will then ask you to register your child (£75 non-refundable registration fee), which holds a school place for your child and allows us to progress with the administration of your school application. We will ask your child to attend a taster session. If your child is currently attending a Nursery or Pre-School, we will request a reference before making a formal offer. YEAR 3 AND ALL OTHER YEAR GROUPS

For September 2025 entry, our Year 3 Experience Day will be held on Thursday 28 November 2024 for all registered Year 3 applicants. Please register by Thursday 31 October 2024 to attend the Experience Day. We accept later applications subject to availability of places. To progress an application for a school place in Year 3, we will also arrange an in person appointment with our Headteacher and ask for a copy of your daughter’s latest school report. Future pupils must sit and pass our on-screen digital assessments in addition to providing a satisfactory reference from their current school, before a formal offer is made. We may conduct a further short on-screen interview with our Head of the Prep School.
The Prep School registration fee is £75.00 for Reception and £100.00 thereafter. The deposit payable on acceptance of a Prep School place is £500.00 for Reception Class and £800.00 thereafter (this is refundable less any outstanding fees/disbursements at the end of your daughter’s education at Manor House School).
