If you would like to know where our pupils go onto for sixth form, then we have listed recent destinations further down this page. Local independent and mainstream sixth forms and colleges actively seek to recruit our Year 11 based on the high examination grades they achieve and the excellent reputation of our students. In almost all cases, girls are able to secure the sixth form placement of their choice and many secure scholarships.  We place great emphasis on preparing our students for life beyond Manor House School and girls follow a programme of recommendation, preparation and guidance on which sixth form may best suit them.

SIXTH FORM FUTURE SCHOOLS EXHIBITION

We hosted a dedicated Sixth Forms Exhibition this year for existing parents and the wider community.

This exhibition was open to boys and girls from all surrounding schools who wish to find out more about a future sixth form destination and would like a chance to meet representatives from these local sixth forms.  It proved very popular.

Those who come to our Sixth Form from Manor House School are unfailingly talented and ambitious across varying areas of school life, yet carry this with politeness and humility.  Past and present Manor House girls have included Head Girls, School Captains, School Prefects, House Prefects, Prize Winners on Speech Day and those who excel and lead academically, artistically and on the sporting front. ”

“Claremont Fan Court School is really the place to be! From the large landscape to the beautiful buildings that queen Victoria herself loved to visit, this school will support you every step of the way through your education. Initially I started at Esher College for sixth form but I quickly realised it wasn’t for me and was delighted to move to Claremont. In the sixth form centre free toast and coffee doesn’t go unnoticed, along with so many options for lunch including toasties and a lush salad bar. The year groups are small and friendly so you get lots of feedback and help with your studies, also you have the availability to go home if you would like, once you have achieved your privilege pass. If you’re more on the active side, there is a wide range of sports available to you including; lacrosse, netball and football. However have no fear if not, as you can play inside sports or simply go and do private gym. The teachers and other year groups are friendly, especially year 13 as you spend so much time together in the sixth form centre which is equipped with booths and study tables where you can get all your work done but also chat with your friends.”

“When I started looking for a sixth form I wanted somewhere that was different from senior school, I really wanted to remain somewhere with a smaller community, so college wasn’t really what I was looking for. When I came across Claremont Fan Court School it was perfect for many reasons. When I do not have a lesson or study period I am allowed to go home or go into Esher, this is brilliant because the school trusts you and it feels as if you are responsible enough to attend school, do well and be on time for lessons. Another reason I joined was the smaller class sizes. I am someone who is easily distracted and sometimes needs quite a bit of attention from the teacher, whether it’s questions or just help on a topic/piece of work, my largest class has twelve students. Uniform wise at sixth form it’s ‘office wear’ or ‘smart casual’ which is another reason why I joined as I never had any issues with wearing uniform and the wear of smarter clothes to school assists in preparation of life after sixth form. When I joined everyone was super welcoming and although at first I felt overwhelmed due to the comfort of Manor House, I soon settled and have made some amazing friends. As A levels are a huge jump from GCSEs and some people may take a course they have never studied before, it is very easy to switch courses at the start of the year to something that is better suited to you or what you are more interested in. Overall I am very happy at Claremont Fan Court School and would definitely recommend it to anyone.”
