About

Manor House School is an Independent (private) girls’ School, with a Co-Educational Nursery and Lower Prep for boys and girls, located in the village of Bookham, near Leatherhead, in Surrey.  We are a day School operating between 7.45 am and 6.00 pm and many of our pupils live in the local area in Bookham, Cobham, Leatherhead, Dorking, Fetcham, Ashtead, East Horsley, Effingham and surrounding Surrey Hills villages, although many travel from Kingston, Esher, Wimbledon, Merrow and other locations on our minibus routes.

Manor House School, Bookham is a through School and includes a Co-Educational Nursery and Lower Prep. Girls will transition into the Prep School and Senior School, with boys moving across to Cranmore from Year 3 to continue their journey within the Effingham Schools Trust. The Senior School at Manor House School finishes at Year 11, when pupils will have a guaranteed place at the combined Sixth Form from 2025 at the St Teresa’s campus.

The School’s location benefits from easy access to rail connections and provides a school minibus service to local areas. We are members of the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA) and we are a selective school. This means that School places are offered at the discretion of our Headteacher and subject to academic ability, being satisfied that we can meet an individual child’s needs and based on references from a pupil’s current school (where applicable).

  • A love of learning
  • Academic excellence
  • Unforgettable experiences

  • Future leaders

GCSE and Key stage 2 results are excellent and our staff are fully committed to challenge and support every girl academically, whilst ensuring that she is happy and participates and excels in a range of enrichment activities.
