Admissions

You are welcome to visit us at Manor House School at any time for an individual appointment and tour, or you may attend one of our Open Morning events.

Entry is possible during the course of the year (subject to availability of places) as well as in September at the start of the academic year. The offer of a school place is subject to applicants successfully undertaking an age-appropriate Assessment and Taster day (applicants are assessed on their academic as well as their social and behavioural performance throughout the day) or for seniors, passing our entrance examinations. We also require a satisfactory reference from your daughter’s prior school.

To arrange a visit, taster and assessment day or for further information, please contact Mrs Jane Baynes, Admissions Officer on email: admissions@manorhouseschool.org or call: 01372 457077.

Admissions Process

An overview of our  admissions process is detailed below or please refer to our Admissions Policy.  For admission to Year 7  and above –  including details of our Entrance Examinations and Scholarships process – please go to our Senior Admissions Page.

1. Request our Prospectus or pick up a copy when you visit us.
2. Arrange an individual visit with our Headteacher and/or attend an Open Morning.  For an appointment, we ask for sight of your daughter’s latest school report (and any other reports if applicable) prior to the meeting and  if your daughter attends, for her to bring a piece of work that she is particularly proud of to the visit.
3. Complete the Application-Form (includes payment of a registration fee of £50 for Reception and £75 for rest of school).
4. Book a Taster and Assessment Day and or confirm attendance at our Year 7 Entrance Examinations Day (Senior entry only).  We require a satisfactory reference from your daughter’s current school and payment of the registration fee at this stage.

A school place will only be offered based on the successful outcome of the taster and assessment day or successfully passing the senior entrance examinations. * A school place is only secured upon completion of the offer pack and payment of the deposit.**

*As a selective school, offers are made subject to the outcome of the assessment and at the discretion of the Headteacher.
** The deposit is £500 for Nursery and Reception and £800 for rest of school and secures your child’s school place. This is refundable at the end of your daughter’s education at Manor House School less any fees owing.
