The large, light filled art room at Manor House School provides an exciting environment for our girls to develop and explore their artistic potential. They are encouraged to work in a variety of materials including paint, pencil, collage, clay, print-making, plaster and wire. Many of them choose to work big, as our wonderful GCSE art exhibitions will confirm!
The department prides itself on allowing the girls to pursue their own strengths and enthusiasms. This results in stimulating and diverse work and excellent GCSE grades. Many girls go on to study Art at A level or Art college.
There are four art clubs – two for Juniors, one for Seniors and one for GCSE students. Girls visit galleries and museums and we annually participate in the Royal Academy Outreach programme, which brings life drawing into schools.
Please visit the Creative Showcase to see a selection of the girls’ work.
