Art

The large, light filled art room at Manor House School provides an exciting environment for our girls to develop and explore their artistic potential. They are encouraged to work in a variety of materials including paint, pencil, textiles, collage, clay, print-making, plaster and wire. Many of them choose to work big, as our wonderful GCSE Art exhibitions will confirm!

The department prides itself on allowing the girls to pursue their own strengths and enthusiasms. This results in stimulating and diverse work and excellent GCSE grades. Many girls go on to study Art at A level or Art college.

There are four Art clubs – two for Preps, one for Seniors and one for GCSE students. Girls visit galleries and museums.

GCSE ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION

Below is a selection of some of our more recent GCSE work. We hold a GCSE Art Exhibition every June in The Gallery of the Manor Farm Tithe Barn (opposite The Lodge exit to Manor House School). Parents, visitors, press, local feeder schools and future sixth forms are invited to our showcase of GCSE art and design work.  Contact Head of Art, Mrs T Williams at e: twillliams@manorhouseschool.org for further information.
