Nursery & Kindergarten

Our Setting

Our private Surrey Nursery School is ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) registered. We have our own Forest School and purpose-built Early Years facilities. These include two wonderful play areas; an outdoor all-weather playground which includes sand and water play, climbing frames, a sensory kitchen and a train, and an Orchard garden which contains our much-loved pirate ship and larger play equipment, which nursery children share with the older children.

Our outstanding, purpose-built classrooms are located in a quiet, secure area of the school and provide a happy, dedicated environment for your child. Children have access to stimulating activities throughout the day both indoors and outdoors in our safe outdoor learning environment. Children enjoy the freedom of being able to take their learning outdoors and explore the environment around them.

Alongside our specialist Nursery area, children benefit from weekly Forest School sessions in The Dell – an outdoor classroom set amidst our extensive grounds where the children can explore and engage in nature walks and practical learning activities. Our outdoor learning facilities support the children in their development by giving them opportunities to explore the natural world around them and challenge themselves further than they can in the classroom.

Our open, bright and spacious classrooms are the perfect environment for children to thrive in. Each room has a role play corner for the children to explore their imaginations, a book corner where the children can find a quiet space to look through a story, and a construction zone to allow for creativity. The classrooms are filled with resources and toys for the children to explore daily which are tailored to children’s interests and the half termly topic. We ensure that throughout play, children are having access to educational toys and resources.

We endeavour to make all children feel happy and safe at Manor House School.
