Year 5 embarked on an exciting adventure to Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium to learn about Science for the day. Girls went inside the huge dome, the Planetarium, where they watched the stars and planets travel around the screen. In the afternoon, they participated in a workshop about ‘Matter’ where they made sticky, gooey slime using different chemicals.
The rest of day was spent either in the Space Explorer or on the Exhibition Floor trying out different hands-on science experiments. These included trying on a spacesuit, talking through tubes and looking at the skeletons of different animals.
