A long standing tradition at Manor House School is Theme Week.

To close each Academic Year, pupils are off timetable for 3 days and enjoy themed activities and events.

This year, the theme was Paris which was fitting considering the excitement that was building for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Everyone was always so excited to enter the white house on the Monday morning, to see how the house has been decorated. Directed by Ms Williams, Year 10 pupils pulled together accessories and elements to completely transform the entrance reception. Appreciation this year must go to Mrs Clarence, parent of former pupils, for helping Emilia McB and Phoebe G of Year 10. We visited French bistro's for a coffee and croissant, cafe's to see what delights of French cooking were on the menu. We visited Monet's garden, and were inspired by other artists and their work. We entered a chic world of fashion with nod's to Chanel and Dior too.

Sculpturist, Alastair Lambert hosted a workshop, working with girls across year groups, to build our very own wooden Eiffel Tower.

Mr Edmeades was the perfect teacher to instruct the girls in the art of Can Can dancing on the front lawn!

The catering team hosted a delicious BBQ for a picnic.

The children were thrilled to get close to some wild animals in the Tithe Barn with some even brave enough to have a Boa Constrictor draped across their shoulders! Younger children also enjoyed being swallowed up by giant bubbles too.

The weather held for the Theme Week Party on the front lawn, with pupil managed stalls, karaoke, ice cream, a bouncy castle and of course the bubble man. Splatting their teachers with a wet sponge will forever be a highlight of Theme Week!

We look forward to what is in store next year!
