Portsmouth Humanities Trip for Year 4

Posted: 23rd November 2018

Year 4 Portsmouth

Year 4 travelled by train from Clandon via Guildford to Portsmouth Harbour last week and spent the day exploring both the Mary Rose Museum and the Spinnaker Tower.

Whilst at the museum, their guide introduced the girls to 90 year old Murray who was one of the divers who actually discovered the wreck of the Mary Rose at the bottom of The Solent. What an honour it was to chat to him!

The glass floor of the Spinnaker Tower was another highlight. The girls bravely stepped onto it and then after they realised there was nothing to be worried about, they DANCED on it!

The trip helped pupils with embedding their Humanities work about Guildford and Portsmouth.
