In late February, students from Years 10 and 11 travelled to The Globe Theatre on the South Bank for a performance of 'Macbeth', their GCSE Shakespeare text.
It was a dry but chilly evening so they were well prepared with warm clothes and blankets for the open air setting and they were engaged by an original and fast paced performance.
Students commented: 'It was an interesting and exciting take on 'Macbeth' with a modern twist'; 'I enjoyed being outside'; 'it was amazing to see the Globe Theatre for the first time'; 'I enjoyed how the modern twist was intertwined with a great Shakespearean text.'
