During the recent period of online learning, pupils from Year 2 and Year 6 entered the Rotary Club Young Writers Competition.
Their task was to write about their happiest day and the girls responded writing about birthdays, exciting days on holiday, new pets and important achievements. This was their first piece of writing done after the Christmas break, and during lockdown, and the judges were very impressed. They commented on the detail and descriptive vocabulary used and the fun the girls managed to convey in their work. Clementine F and Annabelle H from Year 2 were awarded Highly Commended and Jessie S and Poppy B from Year 6 were also awarded Highly Commended for their entries with many other girls achieving a certificate of Merit.
Very well done Year 2 and Year 6. We are so proud of you!
