Girls in the lower Prep School have been enjoying their new Pirate Ship, located in the Orchard Garden, kindly donated by the Friends of Manor House School. Mrs Quirk, Chair of the FOMHS, commented, “We were delighted to be approached by the Prep School last summer with a request to provide a new climbing feature for the younger girls. As part of our fundraising allocation, we purchased a Pirate Ship (shown) for the benefit of Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils, alongside a number of other items for the School and wish the children many happy hours of enjoyment.”

As a thank you to Mrs Quirk and the rest of the FOMHS committee, girls from Reception Class, presented her with thank you letters earlier last week. Mrs Ferrey, Head of Early Years, said "All of the children were really excited to see the ship on their return to school and have enjoyed exploring the many ways they can play on it. It has been a wonderful “wow” start to the Early Years topic of Pirates this term and is a safer option for the younger children in the Orchard Garden. We would all like to thank the hard work of FOMHS for raising money to fund this resource."
