Thirty-five years on, the ‘Class of 1983’ from Manor House School reunited in London on Saturday. Only a few ex-pupils were missing. Do you know anyone who left Year 11 in 1983?
Thirty-five years on, the ‘Class of 1983’ from Manor House School met up in Covent Garden on Saturday. London seemed the easiest option for everyone to get to and one lady even travelled down from Manchester!
Samantha W had stayed in touch with Frances, Miranda, Carol and Katherine and had found Abigail on Facebook and sent her a message. The reunion grew from there - Abigail was in contact with Clare and so it went on. The year group have managed to contact all in their class apart from about five people, which is amazing.
A few former classmates could not make it on the day itself so another meeting has been arranged in February 2019.
Samantha said "Even though it's been thirty-five years, it felt like only yesterday that we last saw each other! It was so funny. The first thing that I think we all said to each other was “You look just the same!”
“We all really enjoyed our time at Manor House School and do appreciate how lucky we were to have had such a wonderful education in the most beautiful of settings. We would all really love to come back at some point.”
We will be keeping the Leavers of 1983, via Samantha, informed of our Centenary Year celebrations and future events. If you know of any other class meet-ups or know anyone else from this year group who did not make the reunion, please get in contact with firstname.lastname@example.org and we will pass on your details! https://www.manorhouseschool.org/support-us/alumni/
