The Old Barn Hall in Bookham supports a great deal of community activity and Manor House School were privileged to take part in the busiest Open Gardens Day yet to raise money for its' upkeep whilst showcasing our beautiful surroundings.
Manor House School were again delighted to be part of a local community event, Bookham Open Gardens Day, on Sunday 17 June.
It was an astonishingly successful day, selling 933 tickets, across all the gardens involved, over a hundred more than previous years. The School welcomed 210 visitors into the grounds and gardens of Manor House. Proceeds from ticket sales helped raise over £7000 for the Bookham Community Association towards the upkeep of the local Old Barn Hall, used by a wealth of local residents and groups
The occasion was perfect for meeting many local residents and opening out the grounds to families to take pleasure in our wild meadow area, summer and orchard gardens.
We were pleased to loan one of our minibuses to help transport local residents around the area as well as helping to alleviate traffic congestion.
