Spiritual Life

Manor House School is an Independent School and Nursery in Surrey which welcomes pupils of all faiths. We are Christian in tradition and aim to foster Christian values of spiritual awareness, understanding and respect for others and this is expressed in the way pupils throughout the school treat one another.

All our pupils join in regular assemblies within school, which lie at the heart of our life together as a community. Year groups also take it in turns to enjoy a church service in the beautiful Saxon church, All Saints, adjacent to the school in Bookham, and whole school services are special occasions.

Throughout the curriculum, space is given in many subjects for questioning, reflection and self-awareness. All religions are explored in Religious Studies with a particular emphasis on Christianity. A Christian Union is available as an extra-curricular activity.

MANOR HOUSE SCHOOL IS CHANGING!

From September 2026, Manor House School will continue to be a co-educational Nursery (from age 2) and a co-educational Lower Prep and Prep School for girls (to age 11).
