In Year 2 of the Pre-Prep Department at Manor House School, we continue to build on the secure foundations laid in previous years groups.
We encourage a strong sense of independence and creativity in a friendly but structured and stimulating environment. The National Curriculum is followed and extended to meet the needs of the individual so that each girl is able to achieve her full potential.
The girls are taught by their class teacher for most subjects, with subject-specialist teaching increased to include Mathematics, French, Music, Art, PE and Dance.
The topics we cover include The Great Fire of London, The History of Manor House School, Famous People and a study of the USA.
Social and spiritual awareness is developed through our emphasis on pastoral care, values education, PSHE, and in whole-school, Pre-Prep and Junior assemblies.
Our girls benefit significantly from the diversity and excitement of being in an ‘all-through’ school, with specialist tuition and varied extra-curricular activities on offer.
