Senior School Admissions

Our Senior School Department is made up of Years 7 to 11. We are a selective school and applicants should be performing academically at nationally expected levels in English, Maths and Science as a minimum requirement.

Entry in Year 7, September 2019

Summary Entry Process 

  • Book onto our Open Morning on Saturday 6 October 2018 at 10am or arrange an individual meeting and tour with our Headteacher.
  • Fill in an Application-Form for your daughter (£75 registration fee) and confirm her attendance at the Year 6 Experience Day on Wednesday 7 November 2018 and Entrance Examinations Morning on 11 January 2019.
  • If applying for an Art, Music, Drama or Sport Scholarship, submit your application by Wednesday 14 November 2018. Scholarship Assessments will be held on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 November 2018. Enquire at
  • Attend the Entrance Examinations and Academic Scholarships Morning: Friday 11 January 2019 : 8.30am-1pm (incl lunch).

School Places, Scholarships and/or Bursaries are announced week commencing Monday 21 January 2019.

*We offer a range of senior scholarships; every pupil applying for a Year 7 place is invited to enter.  See our Scholarships page.

All applicants will be entered for our Major or Minor Academic Scholarships by sitting our Entrance Examinations on Friday 11 January 2019 from 8.30am to 1pm (including lunch). Test papers include English (1 hour), Mathematics (45 minutes), SPaG (30 minutes) and Science (45 minutes).

Admissions Procedure for all other Senior Year Groups (Years 8-10)

Following steps 1 and 2 above, entry is subject to availability of places and completion of an age appropriate assessment in English, Maths and Science.

The deposit payable on acceptance of a Senior School place is £800 (this is refundable less any outstanding fees/disbursements at the end of your daughter’s education at Manor House School, Bookham).
