Spiritual Life

Manor House School welcomes girls of all faiths. We are Christian in tradition and aim to foster Christian values of spiritual awareness, understanding and respect for others and this is expressed in the way girls throughout the school treat one another.

All our pupils join in regular assemblies within school, which lie at the heart of our life together as a community. Year groups also take it in turns to enjoy a church service in the beautiful Saxon church, All Saints, adjacent to the school, and whole school services are special occasions.

Throughout the curriculum, space is given in many subjects for questioning, reflection and self-awareness. All religions are explored in Religious Studies with a particular emphasis on Christianity. A Christian Union is available as an extra-curricular activity.

As part of the national response to Covid-19, the School site is currently closed to pupils, except those of key worker and vulnerable children. We continue to teach and support all our Prep and Senior School pupils via a virtual (on-screen) learning approach, enabling live lessons and engagement across all subjects.
