Sophie in Year 10 has been nominated for an award for her topical film, ‘Phoney’ and will attend the Young Film Makers Academy awards ceremony in Berlin.
She directed it as part of a team over the summer. It took a week from start to finish, including scripting and editing. The film shows how “disconnected” and “connected” young people can be when it comes to their mobile phone.
At Manor House, we enjoy celebrating lots of achievements under the umbrella of our seven core values which underpin school life. Sophie’s film will be shared within the school and shown at tutor times so that pupils and staff can recognise her creative achievement and collaboration as part of a film-making team. #CreativeandCollaborative.
