The Chairman of the Board of Governors and Manor House School are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr David Harris to the School’s Board of Governors. Mr Harris is a non-executive Board member of the global law firm Eversheds Sutherland and a Board adviser to British Parasnowsport. He is a qualified coach and a mentor with Mentore, a consultancy firm which provides business mentoring to senior executives, particularly women, to enhance their performance and careers and assist their transition to senior management roles.

He is also a member of the London and South East Regional Leadership Group of the Charity Mosaic, part of the Prince’s Trust. Mr Harris retired from the global law firm Hogan Lovells in summer 2014, after 32 years with the firm, the last 10 years as Managing Partner and Co-CEO. He led the firm through a significant period of change and international expansion, culminating in the largest transatlantic merger undertaken in the legal sector.

As a practising lawyer, Mr Harris was a debt capital markets practitioner, specialising in structured finance. A key role filled by Mr Harris has been promoting and encouraging a wide range of Citizenship activities, particularly in the areas of gender diversity, social mobility and community volunteering. He also has a keen interest in sport and music. From a Manor House perspective, one of Mr Harris’ best qualifications is being the father of a past pupil of the School. We welcome Mr Harris and look forward to benefiting from his enormous skill and expertise.
