To celebrate World Maths Day, our Year 2 girls had a merry morning exploring different aspects of Maths, building on their skills and knowledge and in some cases, trying something new.

Challenges included Tangrams, Shut-the-Box – which is an addition strategy game – as well as working out fractions to create a piece of artwork.  They also had a chance to find out how ‘much their hand was worth’ in an investigation involving money.

These were good opportunities to work together and individually and they engaged well in their learning.  What a fantastic time!
