The Surrey Schools Swimming Championships meant that some girls have gained valuable experience at a higher level. Grace Clare and Georgia Gemmell were selected to represent Central Surrey at the Surrey Cross-Country Championships.

The U13 Netball team took part in the Surrey Netball Tournament on Wednesday 25 January. They had a tough first game against Cranleigh which they lost 3-9 but went on to win all their other games. Firstly against Notre Dame 7-4, Graveney 10-3, Feltonfleet 10-2 and finally Claremont 13-1. As they finished second in their section they have qualified for the finals on the 5 March where they will be amongst the best 12 schools in Surrey.

The U15 and U16 Netball teams played in their District Tournament. The extra coaching and practice has paid off as their standard of Netball has really improved. The U15’s won two games and lost three but the games they lost were only by a couple of goals. The U16’s won three games and lost two. The tournament was so closely matched that they actually beat the team who went on to win overall.

The U13 Netball team has remained dominant beating CLFS 22-3.

The U12 A&B Netball teams enjoyed wins against The Ashcombe School. The standard of Netball games played by the Juniors is very good and we will be practising their shooting.

We still have many events for the girls to look forward to for the rest of this half term. Apart from continued coaching and matches, the U10 Netball team has a Tournament and the U10 and U11 Hockey teams also have a tournament. The Junior and Senior Swimming teams have a gala to look forward to. There is a “Come and Play” Lacrosse evening and Pre-Prep are having a Football taster session.
