Despite the cold weather, girls have enjoyed a range of fixtures this half term as well as some cross-country running and the Cooper run stamina test on cold crisp mornings through our beautiful grounds.

Some of the girls senior competed in a set floor gym competition between St Catherine’s and Priors Field this week.  Special mentions go to Abigail Moodie for a gold, Verity Pinnington-Jones and Louise Tapp for silver and Molly Marshall for bronze.

The fitness club has been well attended and it will hopefully have been good preparation for the district cross-country championships next week.  We wish all girls competing the best of luck.

We had a Zumba taster session last week which the girls enjoyed.  In addition there has been mix and match football, hockey and netball and a range of netball coaching sessions.  Last night some of the junior girls took part in a swimming gala at Notre Dame, we are still waiting for the individual results for each age group.

Next week we look forward to a football taster session for the girls in Years 1 and 2 and those in  Years 5 and 6.  We would like to thank Mrs McMillan, Mrs Nandhra and Mrs Townend for their continued help and support in the PE department.
