Our Junior Harvest Festival assembly this year provided a way for our students to learn about the meaning of harvest through the medium of story and drama.
Year 6 looked at Harvest through the eyes of some poor church mice including Maximus and his friend Patrick, who lived in the Sunday School cupboard with his wife Paula and their mouselings. In the portrayal and narration played by our Year 6 girls to the rest of school, the mice looked forward to Harvest more than any other time. They loved seeing all the food arrive at the Harvest service, but they did not understand the true meaning until they listened to the service by the Vicar, played by Lexie.
Congratulations to all the Year 6 girls who performed brilliantly despite having little time to rehearse.
