Congratulations to the five Year 11 girls who represented Manor House School for the first time in the Entrepreneur Event at St. John’s School, Leatherhead. Anayis, Rose, Lydia, Baraka and Gemma had to put together a proposal for a new summer camp including costing, staffing, rooming and advertising – all in an hour and a half! Their proposal was then presented to a panel of three judges and was followed by a Q&A session. All the girls spoke well in the presentation and handled all questions expertly.
Having been identified as finishing in the top two teams the girls then had to work with one of the other teams to put together a one minute elevator pitch; summarising why their idea should be the one chosen for investment. A special well done to Anayis for being the group representative delivering this pitch. Unfortunately, we were pipped at the post by RGS but it was a credible second place for Manor House School.
As always the girls were a credit to the school with their enthusiasm and conduct. We look forward to next year and a potential victory!
