Manor House School are proud to announce that Abi in Year 9 is an area finalist for the Royal Mail Young Letter Writing Competition.
In early December, the girls were learning the lost art of letter writing and how to use formal language and layout. The competition task that the girls undertook was to apply for their dream job.
The Royal Mail received and judged over 100,000 letters making this an excellent achievement for Abbi.
So, what happens next? During the next month, a panel of judges, including TV presenter Helen Skelton, will select the winners from the 120 area finalists.
The Royal Mail will be back in touch at the end of February to announce the Area Winners and Overall Winners.
Overall Winners will receive £1000 in vouchers for their family and £1000 for their school. Area Winners and their schools will win £200 each. All area finalists will receive £40 in vouchers and £40 for their school. Prizes will be awarded in March.
We look forward to the announcement and wish the best of luck and congratulations to Abbi!
