Manor House Pre-Prep hosted its first Grandparents’ Afternoon recently.
The event was a huge success and began with a showcase of work by each class: Year 2 performed a special dance from the musical ‘Cats’; Year 1 shared some lovely artwork and spoke confidently about why they loved their grandparents; and Nursery and Reception gave a rousing finale by singing one of their favourite songs, ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’.
Our special visitors then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea, followed by a personal tour of the Pre-Prep classrooms. The girls proudly shared their work and presented their grandparents with a hand-made coaster to mark the occasion.
The purpose of the day was to have fun, but also to create a connection shared by different generations. The exciting and wholesome experience was enjoyed by the girls, their grandparents and the teachers!
One happy visitor commented, “As grandparents, it was so interesting to have an insight into everyday life at Manor House and the children’s entertainment was brilliant.”
