Manor House School will be holding its Scholarship Day on November 17 to offer supported places to girls who excel at academic studies, sport, music, art or drama.
There will be scholarships for girls from independent schools; from state schools; for existing Manor House pupils and for the best all rounder.
Girls will be assessed for academic scholarships on Tuesday January 12 2016 by sitting school entrance examinations in English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning. Art, Drama, Music and Sport Scholarships will be offered on the basis of interviews and practical assessments in November. Girls may apply for more than one scholarship.
Manor House School in Little Bookham near Leatherhead is a selective independent day school for girls aged 2 to 16 years.
Places are deliberately limited to ensure the school remains true to its smaller setting so all the girls can continue to receive high levels of tuition, support and pastoral care.
Admissions Manager Mary Fowell said: “We have 40 girls in each senior year group across two forms, split further into teaching sub-sets, so parents can be certain that their daughters will receive an excellent education and be given every opportunity to achieve their best.
“Manor House School’s unique approach ensures strong academic results, as well as building character and confidence. We offer girls greater responsibilities and more opportunities to lead than many larger schools do.”
This strong nurturing approach starts from day one when the girls first begin at Nursery (age 2-4) and continues through Pre-Prep (2-7) and Juniors (7-11) to Senior school (11-16).
As well as the Scholarship Day, Manor House will also be holding an open morning from 9.30am on February 9 2016. Families are welcome.
