At Manor House School, we have a strong relationship with our exchange school in Iserloh, Germany. We have recently been fortunate enough to receive a visit from a student named Antonia Honselmann.

Last term, Antonia spent two weeks in the country where she stayed with Maya, one of our Year 8 girls. Maya, her family and the rest of the school made Antonia feel extremely welcome and this made her stay all the more enjoyable. The visit allowed Antonia to gain first hand experience of life in England.

During her visit, Antonia wore the Manor House uniform and was able to attend lessons everyday, which allowed her to further her studies. Despite being in a different country, Antonia felt completely comfortable in the new environment. There was a large variety of activities for her to take part in, including our recent sports day event. This was a great opportunity for her to get to know the girls outside of the classroom.

Antonia’s presence in the school was a great opportunity for our girls to engage with someone from a different country and gain an insight into different cultures.

Antonia’s article has been published on her school’s website and is a testament to the success of her travels. If you would like to view her article, please click here.
