We are delighted to confirm that our Senior girls are volunteering as Supportive Friends for the academic year 2015-2016.
The Senior girls are on duty every break time to help girls throughout the school with any Friendship or other difficulties. They are trained in counselling and listening skills.
These Friendships are beneficial to both the Supportive Friends and the younger girls. They enable younger girls to feel safe and cared for while the older girls feel valued and respected.
They will also be acting as buddies to new girls who have joined Manor House School as well as leading activities in support of Anti-Bullying Week later in the term.
Anti-Bullying Week is coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Their aim is to empower children and young people to make a noise about bullying – whether it is happening to them or someone else, online or face to face.
