Every year we support a number of charitable causes at Manor House School and the enthusiasm and dedication with which our girls raise money for worthy causes is always amazing.

One of our biggest and most supported events returns on Friday 25th September. Our MacMillan Fundraising Breakfast, in support of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Campaign, will be serving a mouth-watering breakfast in return for a small donation to the charity between 7:45am and 8:45am in the Dining Room and Arcot Hall.

What better way to start the day than by sharing a coffee and pastry or, even better, a full English breakfast with family and friends. We time our breakfast to coincide with the school run to minimise any impact on the rest of the day but allowing pupils, their families and friends to join us.

Macmillan Cancer Support aims to provide aid to as many people as possible who are unfortunately living with cancer. They have dedicated nurses and therapists to provide practical support and, in addition, they also campaign to raise awareness of the illness itself.  This year we will be welcoming the charity for a special assembly on Friday 18th September where representatives will discuss how the charity operates and how it can benefit those in need. They will also explain the heritage behind their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, which last year raised an amazing £25,102,796.

Last year alone we were able to raise enough money to completely fund a Surrey Macmillan nurse for an entire week – a whopping £1341!

Naturally we want to surpass our previous efforts, so please join us, enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast and help those in need on Friday 25th September from 7.45am.
