Manor House School has been pleased to welcome the lovely Antonia from our German exchange partner school in Iserlohn, Western Germany. She joined the Year 8 girls for a fortnight to take part in their lessons and experience practising her English.
There are so many benefits to taking part in a foreign exchange programme, such as the different cultural approaches to learning – as well as social and language skills. Wearing a uniform, attending assembly and eating fish and chips were just some of the new things Antonia tried during her stay.
Antonia loved wearing the Manor House uniform; however, vinegar on the fish and chips wasn’t quite so well received! She has now returned to Germany and is proudly wearing her Manor House School hoodie to school. She hopes to return next year as part of our exchange programme.
A big thank you goes out to all of the girls in Year 8 who were so friendly, kind and supportive to Antonia throughout her visit!
