Our Year 9 girls, somewhat muddied and exhausted, have just returned home from a fantastic week in the Devon sunshine at Knapp House.
There were plenty of activities to get stuck in to, including surfing at Westward Ho and crabbing at Appledore along with a top-speed rib boat ride along the river.
Many had to overcome their fears as they negotiated their way through dark underground tunnels and abseiled from the high-tower in true Manor House style. They also had the opportunity to water ski and ride the ringos, with plenty time spent in the water!
Some even had the energy to pop to the disco in the evening after their team games in the swimming pool.
The week involved a huge amount of teamwork and cooperation, helping to develop fantastic skills that they can take forward into adulthood. The added intensity of the activities really helped to show the great courage and support that the Manor House girls have developed towards their peers.
All of the girls exceeded expectations and all deserve a special mention! A real credit to the school.
