Music and dance enthusiast Amy, aged 15, at Manor House School, has won a competition to design the front cover of this year’s Arts Alive festival brochure. Amy beat off competition from young people across the entire Mole Valley district, and will soon see her imaginative design on 20,000 brochures.

Arts Alive is Mole Valley’s largest annual arts festival. Throughout October more than 100 community-organised events will take place across the district, including poetry readings, dance performances, art exhibitions, live music and craft workshops.

Amy, won an iPad mini for her thoughtful music, dance and literature-themed design, which features a white figure dancing gracefully against a background of music notes and the line ‘If music be the food of love, play on’, from William Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night.
