Prep 2
In Prep 2 we continue to build on the secure foundations gained in previous years. We encourage a strong sense of independence, creativity and an investigative approach to learning. Pupil’s confidence and happiness is evident in our friendly but structured and stimulating environment. The National Curriculum is followed and extended to meet the needs of the individual so that each child can fulfil her potential. Social and spiritual awareness is developed through our emphasis on pastoral care, PSHE, whole school and prep assemblies. Pupils benefit from the diversity of the school, the specialist tuition and the varied extra curricular activities offered.
SUMMER TERM 2010
Visit to Brooklands Museum
To enhance our science curriculum Prep 2 enjoyed two very informative and fun filled days at Brooklands Museum in Cobham. They explored Forces in action and a investigated materials. During the days the girls made bridges, shot water cannon, sat in racing cars and rode a penny farthing bike, learnt about the range of materials used in aviation.
Minibeast Safari
The intrepid P2 braved the wilds of darkest Leatherhead to take part in a minibeast safari. They came face to face with a wide range of spiders, beetles, ants, millipedes and centipedes not to mention the creeping worm. Bravely they continued learning about camouflage in nature and germination. They enjoyed a sensorial walk, ran through the maze, and met the challenge of the blindfold trail. This was a fantastic introduction to our minibeast topic.

Prep 2 News
Orla and her parents recently attended the Hospital Saturday Fund AGM at the Guildhall in the City of London. The Hospital Saturday Fund is a grant making medical charity, which was established in 1873. Angela Rippon was the guest speaker and Orla was lucky enough to meet her and have her photo taken with her (see the photo in the gallery above). Angela Rippon was very complimentary about Orla and her extremely smart uniform.
