Scholarships & Awards
Scholarships are offered as girls enter the Senior Department. The academic scholarship is awarded on the basis of formal tests in English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning. Awards for Art, Drama, Music and Sport are decided on the basis of interviews and practical assessment.
The Elizabeth Green Scholarship is awarded in the name of our founder to the girl who achieves the top academic score. The Mason Scholarship is awarded to the highest scoring pupil from a state school.
Scholarships do not carry great financial benefit but are rather an acknowledgement of the individual girl’s talent and ability. Scholars are expected to make a continued contribution to their subject. This may be via academic subjects or clubs. Our art scholars, for example, are asked to submit designs for our annual Christmas card; our music scholars are expected to participate in the orchestra or choir and our sports scholars are expected to represent the school in one or more of our teams.
Bursaries of up to 100% are available to families of girls who meet the academic entry requirements and our financial criteria. All financial details are kept strictly confidential, as are awards of bursaries. If you require further information please see the Bursaries page on the website or contact our Bursar, Finance, Mrs Cathy Miller, on 01372 459089.
